Full Bio/Press Release: Born and raised in Houston, Tx, "V Squad" grew up in the Acres Homes Community on the North side and demonstrated an appreciation for quality music at an early age. He would often dig in the crates and listen to vinyl recordings of legendary artists and groups such as Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Isley Brothers, Anita Baker, War etc. As the hip hop revolution began to rise to prominence in the late 80s and early to mid-90s, V Squad would often sneak albums home to listen to the latest offerings from Jay-Z, Nas, AZ, The Roots, Outkast, Pac, Biggie, Common and H-Town legend Scarface, due to his parents forbidding him to listen to vulgar and explicit music.
Inspired by what he describes as an intense love and passion for music, V Squad began to develop and hone his emcee skills by writing lyrics to instrumentals produced by the likes of heavyweight producers Timbaland, The Neptunes, Dr. Dre, Dj Premier, and Dilla to name a few. Kenn O'bé is a rapper out of N Florida, Jacksonville. Born in Tifton Ga (Tift County), April 21, 1986, and raised by Joesph N. and Ida L. Troupe. The youngest of 5 siblings (2 sisters, 3 brothers). Originally started recording and performing music at the age of 14; helped form a hip hip trio called "High-Bred Breeze" and was known as "Ber-Zerc." At 18, the group started performing in local clubs; music was put in rotation at clubs as far north as Tennessee. In '05, the group went separate ways. O'bé's new style is somewhat gangsta rap/poetic like Wale; with snappy verses and the ability to depict such vivid imagery, O'bé material connects with audiences on a more common ground/perspective.
He speaks on topical issues, mainly life, the progress and the maintaining of his current position.
